The "(Not-So)" portion of this title has gone away, since it's been the third week in a row that an update has been posted. We'll see how long this can be kept up. But I just wanted to keep all of you up to date on all the new, upcoming boards like the Quefrency LM, Demod LM, FoldKB Rev. 2, and Nyquist LM.

Updates

Demod LM and Quefrency LM

Production of the prototype PCBs and switch plates has been completed, so we should have them on hand at the beginning of next week for testing. The prototype aluminum cases are complete as well, and they should also be arriving next week.

If they don't need any more modifications, then we'll get started on production and also get sample silicone tray inserts made.

We also have an LPF keycap kit to go along with the Demod LM, here's a sneak peek of it:

Assuming all goes well, the expected availability is Mid-November.

FoldKB Rev. 2

The initial PCB design for the FoldKB Rev. 2 PCBs has been completed, and prototypes have been ordered and shipped out, so we should also have been in next week.

The main things omitted from the Rev. 2 that was on the Rev. 1 is the option for 2x1.5u thumb keys on the left half, and 1u "\|" option is gone as well.

Case parts for the Rev. 1 are compatible with the Rev. 2.

Estimate for release of the FoldKB Rev. 2 is Mid-September.

Nyquist LM

The initial design of the Nyquist LM PCBs and case has been completed, and prototypes have been ordered.

The only thing of note with the design is that for the 2u thumb option, it will not use a stabilizer, as having support for a stabilizer would interfere with 1u keys. Like with the original Nyquist, the bottom row is removable to allow for 4-row usage (i.e. Levinson format).

The USB-C ports for each half are located in the same position now, and the mounting holes are placed in a vertically symmetric manner, so each half of the case will be identical, making things easier for us to manage.

Like the Quefrency LM, the Nyquist LM has a recessed area to put MagSafe stickers on to use with the MagSafe Tenting Stands.

Next Up

With the initial design of these keyboards completed, next week will involve a fair bit of testing and creation of the firmware for all of the boards.

After that, work on the Sinc LM PCB design and case will begin after any modifications that are needed to the other boards are completed. The Iris LM-G PCB design also needs to have additional ESD protection, so that will be worked on as well, since more needs to be ordered.
